Aman Structural Engineering (ASE), LLC was formed in 2021 by owner and Principal Robert A. Aman, who was inspired to take his 26 years of structural engineering consulting and design experience and form his own firm located in Portland, Oregon, where he has worked his entire career. Many of the lasting business and personal relationships he has established during his career have continued at ASE. He has served as a sub-consultant and primary/lead consultant on building projects working with architects, engineers, building owners, and contractors.
Our experience consists of all types and sizes of new and existing building structures; structural/seismic rehabilitation and renovations; and construction engineering. Project types include public and multi-use projects; office and commercial buildings; institutional buildings; educational and health facilities; peer reviews; excavation shoring; custom homes and all types residential structures. Our philosophy for executing a successful project is based on these actions: UNDERSTAND the client objectives and goals; understand the challenges prior to design; COLLABORATE and problem SOLVE with team members during design process; responsiveness throughout design and construction phases; and provide an economical, CONSTRUCTABLE, and elegant structural design. All construction documents are created using Autodesk Revit/BIM software.
